2008 Updates to AIA Contract Documents

New Documents were made available in October 2008. AIA Contract Documents are the industry’s most respected and widely-accepted contract agreements in the market, and have been for over 120 years. Now, they are even better!  The latest software release and associated documents adds several new documents to both software subscribers and paper contract users. Learn more about the 2008 Update.

Significant changes were also made to reflect changes in industry trends and practices in 2007. The AIA prepared the 2007 Update, which consists primarily of agreements in the popular A201 family of documents, with input from owners, contractors, attorneys, architects and engineers. The 2007 Update includes nearly 40 contract documents, including new owner/architect agreements.

Paper or Electronic Documents are Available for Purchase

Paper: Typically, architects and other parties to the design and building process use AIA Contract Documents to support agreements relating to design and construction services. As one option, you can choose to purchase AIA Documents in paper form through AIA Mississippi. AIA Mississippi is a full service distributor of AIA contract documents and carry a full inventory of documents.

Need a paper copy of a 1997 document that is being phased out?  We will continue to carry 1997 documents that were part of the recent update until our stock is depleted. We will not restock 1997 contract documents. See above for links for more information on the 2007 updates.

Electronic: You can also purchase a license to use the AIA Contract Documents Software online in the form of a meter license of unlimited annual license.
