Membership Meetings

AIA Mississippi hosts a number of programs providing members with opportunities for fellowship, collaboration, continuing education, and to direct Chapter business. 

Our Annual Business meeting is held in the summer in conjunction with the AIA Mississippi Annual Convention. Members elect new Chapter officers and directors, appoint other board positions for the coming year, and hear reports from the Executive Committee on the state of the Chapter. 

These special events, held mostly at a location in Mississippi, offer an opportunity for member networking and feature invited guest speakers focusing on themes of leadership, community, knowledge, and advocacy related to the architectural profession and practice. AIA members, Allied members, and guests are welcome. Monthly meetings are typically held the third Thursday of each month. See our Knowledge Communities page for information on how you can get involved with other AIA members through our local special interest committees. Several of these groups hold monthly meetings that include working sessions to address issues of interest to our architecture community, as well as hosting guest speakers in specific topic areas.
